THE TOWN OF
maybell
THE one and only Maybell
Maybell’s population is a whopping 70 people, give or take a few. Maybell earned its place on the map when the nation’s first transcontinental roadway went right through the center of town. The Victory Highway was dedicated in 1921 to the brave soldiers of World War I, connecting New York City to San Francisco and naming Maybell the most unique town in between. Nowadays, Maybell is a favorite stop for touring motorcycle riders and cyclists who prefer the road less travelled.
Maybell is central to the adventures and activities in Moffat County, particularly with its proximity to Sand Wash Basin.
