Whittle The Wood Rendezvous

Whittle the Wood 2021 will bring a new spin on this fan favorite event. 

IMPORTANT DATE CHANGE The new dates for the Whittle the Wood Rendezvous is June 23rd though the 26th, in addition Whittle the Wood is expanding the event!

The newly carved event will now kick off on Wednesday the 23rd of June with a full day of carver set up and carving after the “Log of the Draw” has been made. Loudy-Simpson Park will be a buzz from 8 AM to 8 PM!

Thursday will continue to have carving going on all day with the major change on this day being the move of the one hour Quick Competion to Thursday evening starting at 6:30 PM. It will follow the same time limit as in the past. Each carver will have one hour, start to finish, to carve out a masterpiece! The LIVE Auction of these quick carve piecves of art will be 7:30 PM with plenty of fun still planned for the evening. The popular Moive in the Park will start at 8:30 PM featuring “Outward”.

And all of this is just getting the party started! Friday will be action packed with live carving, arts & crafts booths, the Bear River Young Life Car Show “Preview in the Park” at 5 PM and then… another big change… Gates open for LIVE music to finsih out Friday evening with the great sounds of “The Williams Brothers Band” and “Robert Randolph Band”.

Much of the Wood Carving segments will be open to the public with free admission. Whittle the Wood will have a portion of Friday and Saturday that is a ticketed event. The live music each afternoon will require a ticket to attend. Tickets for the event will go on sale starting Friday, April 9th on WhittletheWood.com.

Saturday, June 26th, will open up to the community for FREE admission to the park for all of the carving activities, vendor booths, silent auction for chainsaw art, and the announcement of the 2021 Whittle the Wood Winners. The Gates Open time for Saturday will be 4 PM and the live music will kick off at 5 PM with local favorite “Black Mountain Riot” followed by the Indie Rock Band “The Verve Pipe” and the park will be charged with excitment when the 90’s Rock Headliner takes us back to a time we all loved. You will not want to miss the grand finale musical act of “Everclear”.
